과거완료 문법 질문

“We had heard that news just a few minutes ago.”는 맞는 문장인가요?
ago를 과거완료와 함께 써도 되는지 궁금해요.
“Mr. Park has been to Paris before and he recommended us several places to go.”에서는 has가 아니라 had를 써야 하나요?
